I don't necessarily agree with her. As long as you put it into an airtight container, I don't think you need to separate it again. For a 5 pound bag, you should have 20 cups of food. So depending on the amount you feed, it should be about a month's worth. That's about how often we replace our Adult Orijen that our boxer boy eats, though it's a 30 pound bag with him
I just get the little 1 pound bags for Lily.
