Default Behavior Problems

Last night my one year old male bit my husband's finger when he tried to remove him from the couch at bedtime. Now he says he will have nothing to do with him. I think this is going to make the situation worse but he is fed up with his aggressive behavior. So it's up to me to try and fix the problem.

Charlie (my Yorkie) does not like to go to his crate at night so I let him stay on the couch til my husband comes to bed. Usually he just picks him up and carries him to the crate. However, if Charlie isn't ready, he will growl at him. Last night he snapped at him and bit him. He has been getting more aggressive lately. Should I ban Charlie from the couch completely? Should I make him go to bed when I do? I just try to keep him calm. Obviously I'm doing something wrong..Please help!
