If anyone knows of a good/ reputable breeder near the NYC area I would love to have their contact details. I have called many breeders on ytac.org, but none of them have anything at the moment. Like everyone else here I want to avoid pet stores and would like to get my puppy from a home where I can meet the breeder, dam and sire.

I am looking for a female yorkie that will fall within the acceptable size (5 to 7 pounds). To add to the challenge, I would like a Yorkie that has a soft/cotton coat (not silk). I fully understand that silk coats are a big part of the breed standard, and I also know that the soft/ cotton coat is harder to manage… but I want to keep my yorkie in a puppy cut and I just love the way they look in a soft coat.

If anyone can advise me, I would greatly appreciate it. I am getting frustrated and would love to bring a little yorkie home soon!
