So the first order of priority is to re-establish the flora. Pro-biotics either through a natural food selection such as yogurt, or by adding probiotic powder will concentrate on fixing the cause and not just the symptom.

agree BUT alot of dogs are lactose intolerant so i use non dairy probiotics dds plus instead of yogurt for this reason as if the dog is lactose intolerant they will have diarrhea from the yogurt thus not correcting the problem
