I hope this is in the right spot---thanks to all that help. My lil' girl Jess (3 years old), had her first litter 6 weeks ago and I have some questions. The 5 pups are eating food and suckle rarely for about 7-10 days now. They are fine. Questions:
1. Her teats are very, very warm to the touch. Is this normal?
2. She pants alot. My house hasn't gotten above 72 degrees and allofasudden I hear her panting like she walked outside in 100 degree heat for an hour. Been going on for 3 weeks or so. Seems weird.
3. She POOPS 4 times a day! I hate to sound crass, but it's 4 heavy-duty poops. She eats/drinks exactly the same as before (she starting to slow down on cleaning up after the pups). Before the pups she'd go at night once; now that the kids are at school and we're working, there's a pile when I come home...sometimes a 5th one overnight! This is related to the pregnancy I know, but when will it go back to normal.
I know this is just worry stuff, but y'all know how that feels.
