Yes, all of mine turn silver on their head before they turn tan/gold. What is funny, is the hair on their head turns silver then tan, but the hair on their body goes from black to a more silvery black (really called blue) without turning gold. Funny how the genes are all programmed to make these changes. You would think hair would be hair, but not with a Yorkie! No breed that I know of changes as much as a Yorkie! They are like getting a new dog look every 4-6 months!

In fact, even the groomer can change the way mine look a LOT. I look through some of the pictures and it is hard to believe they are all of the same dog. Their variety is part of what I love about them!
