We have no idea what it was. The next door neighbor has two Jack Russels, and down a way from that is a fenced yard full of large dogs.
At the time, while we were frantically looking for Zaccheus, it sounded like a small dog screaming.

Thank you! He has been through WAY too much in his little life to die a horrible death. I want him to live a long one and then fall asleep and wake up in heaven.
