I usually just use one of those little knit bands you find in the baby section for everyday. They don't pull the hair and are easy to take out. They are comfortable, but they can leave them in all the time so are used to having a topknot.
Daisy wiggles and squirms when I clean her ears or eyes and does not like being brushed, but when it comes to the topknot, she just flops her little head right down on my knee or a little pillow and waits patiently for her new do. Go figure that one out!
I thnk it is time for me to get more advanced on her hairstyles. I have ordered some pretty bows for her birthday the end of this month and will try using some regular bands with them.
