He sounds normal for a yorkie pup- they are tiny boned and full of hair. With his hair on his ears- I use my hubbys trimmers and just buzz up the top corner on the front and back of the ear, it helped Ryders to stand. He should be fine in his crate just keep a blankie and something in there to keep him busy.
