The breeder got it from a cat at the humane society, and then passed it on to Caroline, our yorkie. The vet didn't even think it was ringworm until I broke out in it 1 1/2 weeks later. Our doc said it's highly contagious from both animal to human and human to animal...our cream's copay was $75, and that was just the copay. Caroline's spot started where her dewclaw was removed, and was tiny, so the breeder thought she was just licking her incision. So after we all broke out, the vet cultured it and it came back positive....I just don't know how in the world we're going to get through it without going crazy!
