I didn't read them all but looks like Dr. Cooper missed some suggestions for his first question. Many of us have found that dogs that are extremely terrifed by thunderstorms can be calmed by simply wearing a T-shirt, rubbing them with dryer softner sheets, or even purchasing the coat like clothing that helps dogs in storms. The idea behind these suggestions is that much of their ill at ease feeling comes from the static electricity that builds up before and during a thunderstorm. Even just wearing a T-shirt helps with that (maybe because I use softner) and they remain calmer. It has worked like a charm for my Jack Russell who was the biggest storm baby of all. Now she sits calmly, maybe not liking it yet, but at least not shaking violently like before.
