I got Mika from a Pet store (don't shoot me, I didn't know any better then), in Jacksonville, Arkansas called "Arky Barky" ( I thought the name was cute and catchy. I paid 1,600.00 for a little bundle of joy that was supposed to top out at "no more than 5 pounds, but probably 4". Mika is at about 10 pounds now.
After my daughter took Mika to Atlanta to live, I went into real research mode here on this site, and I found my breeder (professional), in Oklahoma. I drove 6 hours there and back to get Maya, and she was in excess of 2,000.00.
When people ask if they are related, I say, no one is from Arkansas and one is from Oklahoma, but they are adopted sisters.
We get asked a lot if they are mother and puppy too.
