Lucy and Tucker are now 3. They have only had one "serious" haircut in their lives, and that was to get the black puppy hair off. Their coats are almost down to the floor (about 1" above the floor). As pretty as this is, they are active dogs and their hair is collecting everything but money. I am in the process of researching "new looks" for them, but my main issue where I keep getting hung up is the back end. When they poop, I watch it just sliiiide along the long tail hairs, and I'd like something cleaner. But not a full buzz cut, as I do intend to leave some longer hair along the body. But more like, how short to cut the tail hair? (don't want the schnauzer looking/baby carrot effect). And how to style the back leg hair (I call it the pants!)

So... if you have a practical (but still cute) bootie cut, can you please send me a pic? I'm requesting photos of dog butts... I thought I'd never see the day!
