Most times they have a little longer snout, a longer body and slightly shorter legs. Sometimes they are larger, although my friend has a 3.5 lb female silkie who shouldn't get much bigger. But her last silkie, a male, was 14 lbs!! But one thing that ALL silkies seemed to have in common is that they are always very very very busy. All the time. My yorkies would run out of gas and be snuggling on the couch while the silkies are still charging back and forth. Google pictures of silkies, Yorkies, Australian Terriers and Dandie Dinmonts to see the difference.
He is adorable, and like the others commented, I think he looks very "Yorkie". He looks more Yorkie than my Tiki, who is AKC reg. Yorkie, but that's the way it goes sometimes. Love the lil tongue and happy face, and love the name Niko (same as my schnauzer).
