I waited to post this until you had left and hopefully you won't read it until you get back. I know exactly how you feel. I took a long dreamed of trip several years ago and had to kennel my dogs. At first I couldn't figure out why I felt so homesick. Then I realized I missed my dogs so much I couldn't stand it. Now I realize that I would way rather be with my dog than travel.
