Congratulations, some of them are so fragile-not just physically but mentally also. When we first got Sissy she didn't like to be held or snuggled at all. I don't think she knew what it was. She is 4 now and loves belly rubs and when scared or in an unfamiliar place loves tp be as close as possible and is the queen of kisses. Be patient, give him time and I'm sure he will understand he is safe and make you proud of your decision to take him.
