No, I think there
is a place for the first time breeder. The important thing you said though, which
doesn't wave a red flag (for me) is:

Right there you are doing SOMETHING different than a
lot of people.
I don't think anyone will attack you for your aspirations. Maybe give you warnings about some of the harder parts, but that's just advice
