I had an italian greyhound some time ago and I used a dremel on him, so when I got Murphy I started with the dremel on him and he lays in my arms while I trim his nails up. I am able to get them pretty close to the quick and he's always quite during and then ready for treats when I'm done. It's quick and painless for him
Then we tease him and call him stealthy Murphy after he's finished cause you can't hear his nails on the hardwood at all! LOL
