I know how you feel. I hand feed MIley (course she had hypogycemia talk about a scare) I also used to hand feed Biskit I no longer hand feed him but I do sit by him while he eats to make sure it's him eating and not me thinking hes eating and instead my oh so hoggish lab that will steal an extra bite if I turn my head lol..
As long as you know he's eating you really have nothng to worry about..it's when he stops eating that you should worry.
It's scary having small dogs..after biskit I swore id never get another small breed dog..woa and behold I got Miley lol..
