I have 3 male dogs in the house and the only times I have tried to insert females into the mix (not only with these dogs, but others) the dynamic just gets mixed up. Dogs who were totally laid back get all "macho" and what not, even if they are all fixed. I want a girl so bad it hurts (another baby to love, but also a girl to dress up and put pretty girly bows in!!!) but my partner and I have tried females and it just gets all tense in the house.
So, for now, I am stuck on boys.

I can't believe how true that is. Outside Sadie is a little lady, submissive, full of kisses, and inside she is alpha through and through and doesn't give poor Joey a break. Every toy, every treat, she manages to snatch from him.
