Default Help..please - 9 days of no accidents and now 5!

Hi,

We are new to Yorkie Talk and have gone through hundreds of messages regarding Potty Training. Our little guy, Sparkle, is almost six months old and we have had him almost a month. We have been following all kinds of guidance (crate training, keeping on a leash, taking out every 1-2 hours, positive rewards, no punishing, etc.) and were having GREAT progress. Nine days with no accidents. He sleeps through the night from 9p to 6:30a and has not had any accidents in his crate for about 2.5 weeks.

Then today, we have had five accidents in the house despite taking him out frequently. He did start doxycycline last night for a cough but otherwise things were pretty normal except he did not have as much of my attention.

Any ideas if this could be due to the medicine (anyone have experience? I looked on the internet and did not see frequent need to urinate as a side effect) or could it be behavioral?

He only spends about 3 total hours in his crate each day and gets loads of attention.

Thanks for any guidance!
