I have four Yorkies. 3.6lb, 4.2lb, 4.6lb these are considered "teas" which to my understanding only means that at birth they could fit into a china tea cup. My fourth and most beautiful is four years old, is between 9-10 pounds. He is a blue and gold with the sweetest babydoll face. Thick full coat to the floor that needs to be cut back off the floor about every 6 months. As you know the Queen bread Yorkies down from much larger dogs and in the past couple of decades they have been breeding for smaller and smaller. My personal beleif is that the smaller they become the more they tend to loose in the soft "beauty" that was intended, but gain on the companionship.personal opionion only. My full size, so to speak, is much more layed back than the little ones, not as "yippy", more willing to learn, just as lovable and obviously (I think) better with children because you don't have to worry as much about him getting hurt. He has the soft baby doll face which I have not yet seen in the "teas" which have sharper features. I am no professional but through reading and observation this would be my thoughts.
