Simon is adorable! After my husband passed away my grown kids thought I needed a big dog for protection but I wanted a companion that I could chase around the table for exercise when the weather was bad! Yorkies are the best little buddies in the world. I talk to my kids if they get upset when I am out of sight. They also know they get a by-by before I leave the house. The phrase "Mama has to go to work" means I will be gone for a long time but they know I'll come back. Think like a Yorkie. You belong to Simon - not the other way around. If you left, are you coming back? Why, and where did you go? Tell Simon what is going on and you will be amazed at how quickly he seems to understand your phrases. Use the same ones when you can.
