Saw this and had to register and post
I have it on good authority (the Wolf Man guy from TV who works at Combe Martin Adventure Park Zoo and who we asked about this) that terriers do this to see where you've been like reading a newspaper. The hairs in your nose catch all the particles of smell of where you've been and a Yorkie can tell this apparently.
We didn't even till him we had a Yorkie that does this all the time he guessed it was a terrier!
We also get this in the morning maybe they're checking we didn't disappear off somewhere in the night.
Our yorkie does this when we get home as well. Then she seems to think for a bit then does it some more so it seems true!
