These little boys look wonderful to me; haven't seem them in person yet, and I'm wondering what any of you with more experience than I have think of them? They're actually in my area and the breeder is asking 500. Isn't this an unusually good price? He's been a breeder for 20 years, and has both parents on site. Says they're both great dogs... Thanks for any advice/input/comments. |
Pretty hard to tell by a picture, but if both parents are "on site" you will get a pretty good idea of what you will have. Again, pretty hard to tell about or by price. I have seen some for a few hundred that were terrific pets, and some for thousands that....well, I'll just say, someone over paid because it was a "Yorkie". Let's face it, most of want a pet to love and be loved in return and you can really get that from any dog. Look for health, good bones, teeth and attitude. A Yorkie will give you all the love you could ever want with a little love in return. Look at the surroundings of where your future pet is, if it is friendly, go for the one the goes to you, not the one you go to. If the parents are there you have it made. You are seeing what your getting. Be sure your new baby has a health certificate and get him/her to your vet as soon as possible. There is nothing like the love of a Yorkie.
