I prefer the small lead with the pevel bead down to about a foot from the dog and then the part that goes around the dogs neck is leather braided. I am talking about the real tinu show lead. I can then hold all the extra length in the palm of my hand and nother hangs out over. I just think it looks cleaner - more professional. And the leather braid doesn't choke at the dog.
