We adopted a Yorkie from a local no kill organization a little over a year ago. She is 5 yrs old now and doing great, she has come a long way. She still has a few issues we are dealing with but everything is baby steps with her. She still doesn't get toys or play but she knows love. She was a breeder release and from what I understand the other dogs there didn't like her and would fight her. She is our only dog and does well with the cat now that she's no longer afraid of it. I would love to adopt another one, there are some coming available soon. But with this ones history of other dogs not liking her I am afraid to. We really love this little girl and have spoiled her. We don't want to do anything to make her unhappy or set her back in anyway. PS. Every dog we had growing up was a stray or given to us. All my dogs have been rescues except a couple, I am a firm believer that everyone needs a good home no matter what.
