This is not a good story for the bugs, but sometimes, when the june bugs are rampant, here in the south, I'll take Apple out on the front porch to catch a june bug, then let her bring it in the house to play with for a while, then, when she's through playing w/it, she gobbles it up...Then she looks up at me like she's saying, "o.k., mom, let's get another one"...She'd eat as many as I'd let her have, so I limit it to two...I've heard they're a good source of protein, so it's not such a bad thing...lol...

*cringe...but ya i totally get where you are coming from, i don't think certain bugs will really hurt them that much, i wish we had a list of all the good/bad bugs our pets could eat without getting sick and which ones would make them sick with poisons?? anybody got the energy to make a sticky about it???
