He sounds wonderful to me. So what if he is not too interested in other dogs, as long as he is happy. It is like people, you don't have to "like" everyone. Some people like to keep to themselves, and they may be very happy that way. He may only open up to to people and dogs he trusts and good for him for being so wise. Sounds like he doesn't enjoy the daycare. But why should he have too? Dogs have personalities, and he may like quiet and calm and trusted. Dog daycares can be very chaotic and loud. He sounds so sweet and a very good dog.
