Hmmm...they can have digestive issues when teething, but I think I'd take your little fella in - just to make sure he doesn't have an infection or something, bc it does sound really painful.
Some vets will recommend you use some of numbing products used for human babies - but your vet may have something else too. GOOD luck w/ him - it's so hard to see them in pain.
