Bottom line, I hope the baby girl gets her dream home. AND behavorial issues is no reason to rehome a dog. I have learned SOOOO much from watching Victoria Stilwell "Its me or the dog". The problem is, most people don't have the patience to get the dogs through it or they dont put forth the effort to know what they are doing. AND they will be better little fur kids if they have manners and respect. So, you really have to ask yourself if you can take it on. I get up in the middle of the night to take my dogs to go potty because I dont want them to hold it all night--even though they are in a crate. AND I am generally up between 5:30 - 6:00 to start our walks. True dedication, takes so much time. |
Oh yeah.....I do know about behavioral issues..hahah! I have a personal pup who is a B**** and a foster who bites people if I am not careful. You just have to work with them. You are so right! I also love that show with that Victoria...I actually like her better than Cesar!
I believe they all can learn to live with each other.
People who have been to my home know I have many..and while they may have their moments, they are not killing each other.
My pups are all groomed by me and also by a professional groomer.
I also am at the vet almost every day on some weeks. My vet bills are astrononomical. Some of them are reimburseable since they are fosters, buy my personal pups all receive good vet care, including yearly dentals.
My Cody who just passed this past Saturday cost me thousands in the few years that I had him. I am fortunate that I was able to care for him; but I gained more from him than he from me. He was my love!
What I will say is this....you don't bite off more than you can chew! I have seen people do that and they harm their pups. Keeping a pup and not providing vet care is criminal imo....if you did it to a child you would be jailed. Sadly, people do it all of the time to poor defenseless little pups and it turns my stomach.
