[Snow Yorkies]

This is very hard for me right now, but I also know that there are some of you waiting to know how things are going.... I don't bring good news.

Our little girl stopped fighting and we lost this morning about 11:30 am. She started to decline around 10:30 pm last night. She stopped nursing with Maevie, so I continued to do her supplemental feedings until she refused to swallow anymore around 9:30 this morning. Maevie and I stayed with her to the end. Maevie was the pillar of strenght for the puppy and me. She continued to lick the puppies little face then would clean the tears from my face. I know nature has it's way to take the weak and sick This ends her suffering from what ever under laying problem she might have had. I knew we had not won the battle even though she had gained 1/2 ounce and kept the dehydration under control, but we all hope for the best and do what we can for these little ones, to at least give them a chance at life. I had grown attached to this little girl as she struggled to stay alive. This part of breeding has never been easy for me and I am not used to losing them. I know I must go on for the others, as Maevie has and she has returned to the rest of the litter. This little girl has touch my heart so deeply and will remain there always. I just want to send out a special thanks to those that took the time to answer my posts and that kept checking in offering your thoughts and prayers to us.
