I have to say that I love my vet. She invites questions and makes sure that I understand everything that she is saying. If I object to something, she keeps asking questions and gets me to figure out why I do or don't want something done. I've elected not to do some things and she was okay with it...she even brings it up in the followup visits and addresses what ever the issue was to see what the progression is. It is not that she is looking to pressure me one way or another, but to get the both of us understanding what is best. She's been my vet previously and I just recently found her again and I could not be happier about it!
As with human doctors, no one should ever shy away from questioning anything. And if a doctor makes you feel uncomfortable or pressure, then by ALL means, seek a 2nd opinion or another dr. Drs. are humans and we all make judgement calls and mistakes. Health issues of any kind are not anything to be taken lightly.
