Thank you so much! Now I don't feel so outnumbered...lol
My Mom and sister both "reamed me" for my view on this. I agree, this is a very thin line with a lot of available gray area. I guess it just really upset me because of thier reactions to my question. Our children (those 3 that are grown now, working on our 4th one) were raised to care about others regardless. Sure, we encouraged 4H, committee work in high school, volunteering. But we always encouraged them to do those things because it was the right thing to do, not for personal gain or recognition. It seems sad to me that our society needs to "bribe", in a sense, our children to care for and about others who may be in need. Thanks again
