I will take him to the vet first thing in the morning, if he starts getting lethargic I will take him to the E.R. but until now he seems pretty normal, we just took him for a ride in the car and he was putting his head out the window and right now he was playing with his toys. |
ok if he had pancreatitis he would be tossing and turning and in alot of pain as my dog had this and he would not move off the couch for nothing but the fact that he is not eating or drinking much is a concern so you may want to have him xrayed - do you think he swallowed something ? the first tests they did with dex was xray then when no blockage they did blood work and spec cpli ask if in house is available as much faster than sending out to lab which takes 3-4 days to come back. My dex had a severe case and your dog may have a mild case -- just make sure he is getting fluids is most important. 8lbs is good as the little ones go down much faster - dex is 10lbs so it takes a little longer for these ones to get dehydrated
