I don't see any reason either why any show Yorkie cannot go outside a be a dog. As you said, he is a dog first and you can have a nice coat either way. Inside or out. You just have to work hard for it.
As I have said, Niyah is not a show dog and never will be. She is not standard Only 3 pounds and she is spayed and most of all, I was not looking for a show dog when I bought her. She is exactly as I wanted. A dog with a top of the line personatlity, not a barker and a loves everyone.
