I actually don't think that YT is hugely profitable; the owner started this as a service. Remember it's free to anyone, and donating members are only required to pay a one time fee of $25.00, and that's for life. If it weren't for the google ads, I don't think we would be allowed to have many of the amenities found on YT, such as profile pages, and albums, and many people really love and use these features. I imagine this requires a lot of bandwidth, and to get this at reasonable price, you have to work with places like google. Also google helps YT become better known. Yorkietalk keeps all of it's pages, unlike many forums, and you can look up threads that were here from the beginning, most forums have to delete old threads because of bandwidth cost. They do have a calendar sale once a year, and I think that's their biggest money maker, and I hope everyone supports this. I don't know of any other sites that offer so much for so little.
