What worked for me was feeding him at exactly the same time every day.. I set up an alarm on my phone to ring 10 before 7am and 10 before 7pm. "Culantro" started pupping and peeing right around those times and I moved him to the potty pad and praise him a lot! a lot A LOT!.. me and my wife would make a 5 minute celebration every time he did.

Is very confortable for all of us because we walk him not out of necessity but for pure joy. We still walk him almost everyday...

I bought wide short rubbermaid plastic container at walmart ($11.00), cut the edge on the front, and also I bought a screen for ceiling florescent lights at the home depot ($6.00) and cut it with scissors so that when he pees the hair around his feet won't get wet..
