Is Petsmart the only store around you? If you hate puppy mills (like most of us) stay out of Petland. They are known to support puppy mills from purchasing puppies from them to sell in their stores. We have a Care a Lot pets and Petco here. I like to check them all out as each has something different, but Care a Lot is my favorite as it has better quality food and prices are a bit less then Petsmart. Either way they are all fun to shop so enjoy
I'll be praying for him (and you) that you bring him home. Totally agree with the honeymoon period thing. Just get a toy or two, a bed and a chewy and he'll be fine with that. Too many toys can overwhelm them. Let us know how it goes. I dying to know if he's with you.
