Kalina's puppies are 4 weeks old today. This morning I took them out of their whelping box/x-pen area and put down some pee pads and set them on there to see how they are walking, etc.
Kalina won't let them make a move! She head-butts them and rolls on top of them and is acting crazy! She never, ever acts like that when they are in the whelping area. In fact, she is spending less and less time with them every day - just going in there to clean them and nurse them. Not paranoid at all.
Is this normal behavior?
