Actually, Cammie had long body coat but her facial hair was so brittle no matter what you did it would break...but all my show dogs are allowed to go out in the grass ect...Harvey had a nice coat and face hair going outside and so did Morgan. I just believe they have to be dogs first and going outside in the grass ect is also very healthy for them. It just takes extra care and effort on my part to keep a show coat since I always let my dogs go outside via a doggie door and play in the grass, chase each other ect...that is what I'll always do as long as I show it's worked for me so I won't change something that isn't broke
