Whether they are asked for or not when I personally purchase what is portrayed to me as and akc registered dog I automatically assume that I will be receiving the papers on said dog. It only makes sense that if they are registered then the new owner should receive the paperwork showing that registration and or at least the paperwork to send for them and also the pedigree if so desired. I don't think the buyer should be required to ask for them it should be a given. We also had a bad experience with the person we got our Laddy from and as is happening here when I posted about it people seemed to join just to dispute the facts of what had happened to me. So this makes me wonder even more about breeders when this happens.
