the only minor health issue he has had was throwing up occasionally which lasted for about a week and he was throwing up bile because of him not eating. today he was crying to me, thinking he was hungry i tried a couple of treats we had bought and he wont eat any. so not only will he not eat his regular meals, no treats either. eating is a serious problem for him |
has he been bile acid tested as some dogs who have liver issues will not eat as protein makes them sick so they refuse to eat -- it is not normal for a dog not to want to eat so sometimes there is an underlying issue and this breed is 38% more likely to have liver shunts than other breeds so i would get the bile acids done to make sure the liver is functioning properly especially if he is less than 2 years old
