Sam isn't much of a puller, but even a little normal pulling would choke him on a normal collar. He starts coughing up a storm! However, with the harness, it rubs his belly and makes him bald and very itchy. I thought the hound collar would be a good idea since it's broad so it wouldn't choke him. For walking yes, the harness is the only way to go, it's best to keep him safe. Princess has some super cute collars, but they are just for show and never clipped to a lead.
