creatinine is the most important one as bun is more of a dehydration issue but if both bun and creatinine are high that is when you have problems

also the bun creatinine ratio is an accumulation of both as my girl had high bun and she was fine just dehydrated. The true test of kidneys is urine though as it is more accurate than blood work so did they test urine ?
