How about investing in steps for her to use to get on and off the furniture instead?

I know it isn't going to prevent LP, but it's a joint supplement so if it's going to help her joints, then I'd like to try it.

I have stairs in my bedroom for her to get on and off of my bed. My parents wouldn't want the extra furniture in the living room just for the couches. If something catches her eye or the doorbell rings, she wouldn't use the stairs anyways. Plus, our couches arn't that high off the ground.
