Eva is just 4 months now and she eats three times a day. 7:30 am. 1:30 pm and 6:30 pm. She gets Orijen grainless food and it is less than a 1/3 of a cup each meal. She gets 15 mins to eat and if she walks away and goes to play I remove the food. If she eats it all and looks for more I will give a bit more but only right away not if it is 1/2 later or something. Then i just distract her with play.
She poops like clockwork because of this. Three times day, morning midafternoon and about 7:30 pm. She does get little treats for reward through out the day and a pea size glob of puppy boost each day as a reward as well.
So far this seems to be working for us. Can't wait for when we can have her down to two meals and two poops, but we are a long way from that at this point.
