Our puppy will be six months old next week. We were told when we got him that his estimated weight is 5-6 pounds. He was very small at birth, etc. The vet also stated the same thing.
Our puppy now has doubled his weight.He went from weighing 2.3 pounds in May to 4.0 pounds on Wednesday. He usually rarely eats half of his food. We try to not over induldge with the treats and cut them in half to limit their size for him.
Is this normal that he has doubled his weight at this age? I won't see our vet for another month or two to find out more about his growth and weight. He is far from looking heavy. He is very scrawny and long. He wears xxs clothing and the clothes are big on him.
