Nope you need egg yolk. I've never needed to know how long it lasts in the fridge...mine is gone in 2 days and I'm continually making up a new batch.

Here's some more to add to your list and what I have on mine.


1. Clean sterilized wash clothes....you'll need them to rub and clean the pups.
2. Childrens Nasal aspirator - for removing fluids from the pups nose and mouth
3. Sterile Guaze pads for cleaning out the mouth
4. White Iodine for drying up the umbilical chords.
5. Silver Nitrate Sticks to stop ublical cord bleeding
6 Small Piddle pads to change out after each pup.
7 Plenty of bedding changes.
9. Thermometer.
Disposible Sugical Gloves
10 Hemo Stats and surgical scissors.
11 Anispectic Hand Santizer.
12 Alcohol.
13 Cotton Balls
14 Personal Lubricant
15 Alcohol Swabs.
16 Clovimox
17. Dextrose
18. Syringes
19. Oral Cal Plus
20 NutriDrops
21 Benebac
22 Unscented baby wipes
23 Oxytocin
24 Unwaxed Dental Floss
25. Post Whelping drink for mom 1 Can of goats milk, = parts of distilled water, 1 egg yolk and 1 tablespoon of Karo Syrup. I give this to mom immediately after whelping and sometimes during.
