Once Ralphie fell off of our King sized bed in them middle of the night. Almost gave me a heart attack . He was fine but me and my bf decided to take matters into our own hands after that. We literally cut down the legs on our nice 4 poster bed and put a really cushy rug underneath. The bed actually looks great this way, it is certainly easier for us to get in . Now I do realize that this is extreme, lol, but it worked well for us .
